Gwendolyn Schmidt had always dreamed of owning and showing a Baroque Pinto in Part-Bred Friesian competition. The appeal of competing a horse that had the build and temperament of a Friesian combined with the markings of a Pinto had become undeniable.

In January 2011, the opportunity to make the dream come true arose for Schmidt as she boarded a plane to Germany to see a stallion that fit the bill, and it was love at first sight. Bizkit has been a horse-of-a-lifetime for Schmidt, winning at nearly every turn and earning scores of fans with his striking markings and powerful movement.

In 2013, Schmidt and Bizkit enjoyed a banner year as the stallion’s phenomenal talent and temperament were rewarded and Bizkit was recognized as a National Horse of Honor by the United States Equestrian Federation.

The 12-year-old showed the world what he had to offer in October with dominating performances in Part-Bred Friesian classes at the International Friesian Show Horse Association World (IFSHA) World and Grand National Championship show, earning Senior Stallion, Western Pleasure, and Costume World Grand Championship titles, in addition to a Walk-Trot World Reserve Championship, and a Top Five in World Championship Liberty competition.

Bizkit also added Sport Horse in-Hand and Hunter Hack National Grand Championships and five National Reserve Championship crowns to his name at the prestigious competition. Making his winning efforts even more impress at the World and Grand National Championships show was that Bizkit won the accolades with four different partners including Schmidt, Terry Tatman, Haylie Harshbarger, and Courtney Bauer.

At the regional level in 2013, he won 16 Regional Grand Championships, three Regional Reserve Championships and one Regional Top Five. Bizkit was also the high point Part-Bred Friesian of both the Buckeye Baroque Summer Jubilee and the International Friesian Show Horse Association World (IFSHA) World & National Championship Show.

In 2011 and 2012, the Baroque Pinto Stallion garnered six World Grand Championships and 11 Regional Grand Championships. With his outstanding performances in 2013, Bizkit now holds a total of nine World Grand Championships and 27 Regional Grand Championships.

Bizkit’s legacy extends beyond the show ring as he is proving to be a successful sire with five foals on the ground and three already winning top honors in in-hand competition. Originally, Schmidt had considered gelding Bizkit once stateside, but as she researched Baroque Pintos and their increased popularity, she decided to try breeding Bizkit with hopes of replicating his talents and demeanor. If Bizkit’s offspring are anything like their sire, they will prove Schmidt’s instincts right for years to come.

Bizkit has exceeded all of Schmidt’s expectations and excels at everything asked of him. He is respectful, affectionate, and a joy to ride and watch under saddle and, as evidenced by his achievements, a proven champion.
